Set in the beautiful Howardian Hills not too far from Castle Howard. Nunnington Hall is a historic stately home run by the National Trust and is a good day out.

Stunning mansion and lovely grounds to picnic in, watch out for the peacocks. Regular art exhibitions, an excellent café outdoor . If you are extremely lucky it has been known to see otters playing under the bridge. Dogs allowed in the garden and outside tea rooms, not the hall. National Trust
