Matsushiro Castle (松代城) is a reconstruction of the original 16th century castle. It is especially nice to visit here during cherry blossom season.

国史跡。全国100名城に選ばれている。武田信玄の川中島の戦い居城海津城。春は桜が見事です。上杉謙信の陣、妻女山は松代町の清野にある。 その他町内に川中島の戦いゆかりのスポット多数。
