West Seattle is an often overlooked part of Seattle that offers one of the few destination beaches on Puget Sound. Alki Beach has a two and a half mile long pedestrian walkway, and in the summer is populated by beach volleyball players, sun worshipers, and beachcombers. Most of the beaches on Puget Sound are covered in rock and shells, but on Alki Beach you can get sand between your toes, get some exercise, and take in a great view of the Seattle skyline.

Alki is in west Seattle which means it is not far from the Southworth ferry! This place has a southern California beach vibe with lots of beach volleyball, cool restaurants and great views of Seattle

Seattle has beaches? YUP and this is the best place for views of the Olympics and the Seattle skyline. Great for sunsets too!

A challenge to get to without a car, but the views of the city skyline across the water are unbeatable! Once you’re here, grab something to eat from a place along the water and pretend you’re on a beach vacation!
