A stunning Art Deco designed cinema that has recently been upgraded to state of the art digital projectors, 3 screens (one insanely huge), comfy movie lounge seating and same day movie releases as the big city cinemas! Best of all, it’s $12 a ticket!! And if you ask really nicely, Barry the owner will personally deliver your hot chocolate / coffee during the movie. Interesting fact: The Astor Theatre, Ararat is of historical significance as one of the largest purpose-built cinemas in rural Victoria (capacity nearly 1000 patrons).
