Washburn's General Store is the oldest continually family ran general store in North Carolina. The business started in 1831. Find locally made rocking chairs, lamps, honey, art, all kinds of things!

I love this store! I take most visitors to it. It's an old family-owned country store that opened in 1831 as an inn, tavern and mercantile and has stayed open and in the family since. They sell a bunch of old-timey stuff that's fun to browse, and they run a pretty good lunch sandwich business. They are closed on Wednesdays and Sundays. See washburnstore.com
