Best place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. This felt like old-school Airbnb - back when it had an authentic community feel to it, not the polished corporate version you mostly find today.

Carmen, who is a most genuinely sweet person, greeted us at the port like we were family. She walked us up to the apartment and shared stories about summers at her grandfather’s house - which is now this Airbnb. The place itself is spotless, super comfortable, and beautifully decorated with traditional tiles handmade by her cousin.

She also gave us spot-on recommendations for a Vespa rental, restaurants, and cafes.

Cetara itself is a breath of fresh air compared to the overrun tourist towns nearby. Here, neighbors chat in the street, kids play outside, and the local restaurants serve incredible food right by the bay. Even the greengrocer greets you like you belong.

Getting around is easy with the ferry, bus, or a Vespa.
