Maurie’s place is the PERFECT spot to enjoy Waikīkī. If you are hesitating on booking, just do it! I thought I wanted to stay on the other side of Waikiki, and I am so thankful we didn’t.

We saw the most beautiful sunset right from our lanai one night, but it is also a very short walk to Kuhio Beach and the many beachfront restaurants and bars.

This is the perfect location if you plan on trying surfing, paddle boarding, or taking an outrigger canoe or catamaran ride. These activities are one block away on the most stunning beach you have ever experienced!

It was so great to have a full kitchen to make frozen omelettes for breakfast, a place to keep our drinks cold, and somewhere to store the umi cheesecake we were given at the Hilton Hawaiian Village restaurant on our wedding day!

We did not feel a need to have a car. We rented from Turo one day to drive to the north shore. We used Lyft to get to Diamond Head, our wedding on Kahala Beach, and Hanauma Bay to snorkel.

What a wonderful week we had there. It felt like home.

The condo is an efficiency type of condo, but when you're in Hawaii, you rarely spend time in the room, so having a large, spacious place is not necessary. The condo was clean and tidy. We were familiar with the time-share rooms at the Ilikai, this was the same room but the kitchen had been significantly updated and there was an additional closet that provided much more storage space. Most importantly, the host was prompt with his messages and replies, and offered to provide recommendations on the local area. Instructions on accessing the condo, as well as details about the building (trash, parking, etc) were thorough and useful. I highly recommend this condo to others!
