The home was beautiful with a stunning drive. Elegantly furnished and decorated. We had just two things in particular that made our stay feel a little over priced upon arriving and settling in. First the bbq grille was in very poor shape. We were still able to use it, however the burners have holes and is in a poor state. However, the number one issue we had was with the pool table. We gave up other luxuries such as a jacuzzi or open pit fire due to the pool table. My husband and I regularly and competitively shoot pool on multiple leagues . We were ecstatic when we noticed the advertised pool table. But, when we arrived we learned the table is in unusable condition. The rails are dry rotted and the cloth is worn through due to the rails cutting the cloth from being dried out and old. The rubber from the rails crumbled onto the table and through the worn cloth when we tried to use it. The nightly price should warrant a higher standard in amenities or a lower price for as is.

The house was very clean and although there is another cabin in close proximity, there was no one staying there while we visited so it was very private. My oldest son enjoyed fishing in the creek (no luck) and we felt very safe in this location. Since it was just my children and I- that was a very important aspect for me. I do believe it’s important to mention the driveway to this cabin. It is very, very steep and short. Very steep going down to the cabin and very steep going up to get out everyday. I drive a sequoia and it struggled up that driveway. If there would’ve been gother cars parked at the cabin next door where I couldn’t back up to get a good start; we couldn’t have made it out every time. Although we visited primarily to be in Blue Ridge, we ended up spending time in McCaysville and Blairsville (less busy); that were all in pretty close proximity to the house. Myself and my kids enjoyed this vacation very much and if you want somewhere secluded, safe and clean- this is it!
