julio de 2024Kenta met us in the agreed location and spent the expected time walking around with us. We saw 2 Geisha districts and he was able to give us some basic information about their way of life, training and traditions. Interesting, but nothing that would be hard to find online..
Then we stopped at a Zen Temple which was very interesting, but half of us could not go because they were wearing shirts that didn't cover shoulders. (This could have been communicated proactively to us but was not). We also stopped at traditional Buddhist Temple temple and went through a busy food market with little or no commentary at all. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because we were a a group of 8 people and paid $500 for this tour. For that money I expected more engagement, preparation and more storytelling. We took 3 walking tours in 3 different cities on one trip and this was probably the least favorite one.

marzo de 2024Kenta was an amazing local guide during our time in Kyoto! He's very friendly, and his excellent English made communication easy and enjoyable. He provided fantastic restaurant recommendations that truly enhanced our culinary experience.
Moreover, Kenta crafted our itinerary meticulously, tailoring it perfectly to our preferences. He's very insightful about this city, he shared fascinating insights about Geisha culture, clarifying the difference between Maiko and Geiko, which we had no idea before. Overall, Kenta's guidance added immense value to our Kyoto experience, and we highly recommend him to anyone seeking an informative and memorable tour of the city.

marzo de 2024The experience is so interesting. You not only can explore the traditional spots but also can learn some local insights. Kenta told us how to distinguish the types of geisha, which was great fun. He also took us to eat delicious food. Because of him, we had a memorable experience in Kyoto. Highly recommended.
