I am a huge lover of social history and independent food vendors. I seriously believe that the only way to get to know a city is through it's kitchens, bars and markets. It's because of this that I started running food tours in 2015. I want every tour to feel like you've just joined a small group of friends and are having a real local experience.

My husband and I had a fantastic tour with James! Although we're from the USA, we spend a lot of time in Manchester and wanted to dive deeper into the history of our home away from home. James delivered exactly what we were hoping for, offering rich insights into Ancoats and the Northern Quarter while guiding us through some delicious food stops along the way. My husband is gluten-free, and I’m a pescatarian, but James ensured there were ample options for both of us to enjoy at each food stop— including the best GF pizza we’ve ever had! Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Manchester’s history and food scene.
