This was a wonderful tour of the temples and shrines of Setagaya. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided both historical context and a sense of contemporary life in the area. He answered all our questions and tailored the tour to fit our interests. I would highly recommend this well thought-out tour!

We had a great time with Rick! He's extremely knowledgeable about the shrines in the area with interesting historical facts and stories. The area is beautiful, and we saw a number of sites that we certainly would never have found (or appreciated) on our own. He pointed out good places to take pictures, and we were even fortunate enough to ride the Lucky Cat Setagaya Line Tram!

There’s more to the area than just the cat temple. There’s samurai graveyards, a sumo ring, a shrine founded by the legendary warrior Minamoto no Yoshiie (iykyk) and I would not have found any of this if I didn’t take this tour.
