I started up Hungry Nomads Mexico. There were quite a few tours offered for markets, street food, etc., but I chose this one, in part, because we were going to travel on metro and one of my goals for this trip to Mexico City was to use public transportation. But beyond that, it was an excellent experience! I won’t say where we visited because I think it is a bit of a surprise and I liked that. We saw wonderful things, ate a LOT of delicious and interesting food, more than I anticipated. John was a great host, knowledgeable and kind and calm. I highly recommend this tour. And also … try the bugs. 😁 it’s a thrill!

John, thanks so much for the Metro class. When 3 uber drivers cancelled on me during that horrific thunderstorm, I jumped on the Metro and a bus and came home safely!

Absolutely Incredible! A Must-Do Experience!
This was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip! John provides an authentic, insightful, and mouthwatering tour of the local street food and markets. From the moment we met, his passion for the local cuisine and culture was infectious. We tried so many delicious, hidden-gem dishes that we would never have found on our own.
What truly set this experience apart was John's outstanding care and accommodation for a severe tree nut allergy. John went above and beyond. He took the time to meticulously check ingredients with vendors, and guided us safely through every single stop. His diligence meant we could relax and genuinely enjoy the incredible flavors without constant worry.
If you want a truly authentic, safe, and utterly delicious immersion into the local food scene, do this experience! He's not just a guide; he's a fantastic host who ensures everyone has an amazing, stress-free, and memorable time. Thank you, John!
