Hace 2 semanasMy husband and I are so glad we chose this experience for our last night in Heraklion. María and her mother welcomed us into their home with kindness and love. They were very attentive to our needs and made us feel like family. We learned to cook some delicious food which was by far the best meal we had during our time in Greece. After our cooking lesson Maria took us on a stroll through her village and gave us an idea of what everyday life was once like and what it is today. We finished our night with a lovely meal and beautiful table set by her mother. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting and wanting a relaxing and comforting experience. We hope to visit again with our families one day!

septiembre de 2025What a great time we had with Maria and her mother Marina!!! They were so welcoming and wonderful. The food was delicious, lessons were easy and informative, and conversation was fun! Our Airbnb was about an hour from Maria's home, but it was well worth the drive; we would have even driven two hours to have such a wonderful morning/afternoon such as this.
Highly recommend! You will NOT be disappointed.

septiembre de 2025This was such a special day, Maria and her mother were so welcoming! It didn’t feel like a cooking class, it felt more like we were all preparing Greek specialties for a family meal to share together. Everything was explained so well, and the walk through town was also enjoyable. When we had to leave, it felt like we were saying goodbye to family! We highly recommend this experience! We are so glad we will have this wonderful memory of our visit to Crete!

septiembre de 2025Our cooking class and stroll around the village of Episkopi was the highlight of my family’s 10 day trip to Greece. Maria and her mother, Marina were so warm and welcoming. Within a very short time of arriving, they made us feel right at home. The traditional Cretan dishes we helped prepare were among the tastiest things we ate on our trip. When we came back to the house after a walk in the scenic village, Marina had set the table beautifully with a feast! Not only did we enjoy the dishes we helped prepare, but also several others with wine and dessert. It was so remarkable to my family that almost everything we ate and drank were grown by their family. It was such a truly special afternoon that we will never forget. We hope that our new friends Maria & Marina will have the opportunity someday to visit us in NJ!
