Wow! What a great experience. David took us to the most amazing cave. It was incredible for the prehistoric cave drawings, but the stalagmites and stalagtites were incredible too. Having a private, unrushed tour of the cave was such a privilege.
The Beynac castle tour was also excellent. David’s knowledge of the history really lead to a much more rich experience. I know the price may seem high, but it is 100% worth it. This was really the highlight of our time in the Dordogne. Thanks, David!

David is extremely knowledgeable about both the prehistoric and the Medieval periods. The fact that he is from the area also made the tour even more interesting. He shared a wealth of information about ideas for other things to see in the area. We had not realized that this was a private tour which added a lot to the value from our perspective. We highly recommend booking a tour with David and if the option with the castle is available it is a great addition!

We very much enjoyed our private tour of the Cougnac cave. It made a big difference to some of the family to have a tour in English, and it was lovely and more atmospheric to be a very small group in the cave. We also enjoyed our guide's background talk during the drive from Sarlat and his further explanation and demonstration of fire lighting and painting techniques after the cave tour. Recommended!
