We booked this bike tour based on reviews saying the host leads it and is great with kids, but a different guide ran ours and barely interacted with them. The route goes through dense city traffic, often between truck lanes and on two-way bike paths. There were no clear rules at traffic lights or lane changes, so the group kept splitting. Several riders went through red, and our 7-year-old almost followed into traffic. The guide didn’t notice.

With around 12–14 participants, only the first few could keep up. There was no second guide at the back and no pace adjustment. As parents, we spent most of the tour making sure our child stayed safe instead of enjoying it. At stops, the guide was on her phone and smoking, without engaging the group. Every bike had a bottle holder with water except the child’s bike, so our son had nothing to drink on a three-hour ride.

Barcelona is beautiful by bike, but we wouldn’t recommend this tour for families or inexperienced riders.

Absolutely incredible experience! The Gaudí electric bike tour was the perfect way to see Barcelona — fun, informative, and effortless. Our guide was super knowledgeable about Gaudí’s life and architecture, but also made the ride feel relaxed and personal. The e-bikes were comfortable and made getting up the hills so easy. We covered so much ground- from the Sagrada Família to Park Güell - without ever feeling rushed. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a unique and scenic way to explore the city!
