So glad we did this. 800+ ft of elevation gain. This is a hike and not a walk. Carlos bought us each two waters which was great since this was quite the hike and it wasn’t even hot. We enjoyed learning about the area, vegetation and animals. Great way to start the day. We weren’t able to make the Saturday time but Carlos was able to accommodate our group on a Friday morning.

This was a wonderful hike. It was about 3 hours round trip. We did a 4 miles loop. The loop takes you up hills and eventually through a canyon and then to the oasis where you see some palms. Just be aware that you will need shoes with good traction because it’s not leveled, can be rocky in some areas, and the hills can be steep. I think it’s a moderate to difficult level. It’s certainly not a beginner’s hike.

Carlos was awesome. Unfortunately, my kids were too out of shape and couldn’t complete the hike. We had to turn around, but I look forward to doing this hike again, with no children. Carlos was courteous and knowledgeable.

Carlos is a great guide - well-prepared , knowledgeable, and personable. The hike was excellent - very scenic and interesting, with a few pleasant surprises.
