I signed up for this tour as a newbie, absolutely 0 birdwatching knowledge. In fact, I didn't even read the description prior to booking the experience.

Katja was in contact with my friend and I prior to the trip, ensuring we had proper attire for the excursion, and made pickup a breeze.

Little did I know that the excursion would be on her property (I probably would have known, if I took the time to look at the listing), but it's truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The morning started off with learning how to use the binoculars, finding the birds, listening to calls, and off we went!

Once we got deeper into the jungle, that's when things really got interesting. The place came alive with the sounds of all kinds of creatures.

You can tell that this is Katja's passion. She takes pride in what she does and truly wants to share her knowledge. She was even helpful to share her local contacts for other tour opportunities.

Absolutely wonderful experience

Katja gave us one of the most unique jungle hike tours ever. My kids are 6 and 10 and she made sure we took the shorter routes and was patient and knowledgable. My son is extremely passionate about wildlife and she showed us bugs, frogs, birds and plants and the trail cam with a jaguar! We were thrilled to even be on the same path as a jaguar’s territory. Fascinating biodiversity and ecology - some of the most unique in the world. The donkey went on the hike with us too which the kids loved. Truly unique and wonderful.
