Our guided tour with Ikuyo went way above our expectations! She went above and beyond to adjust the route to accommodate our 3 years old in a stroller with minimal stairs and avoiding overcrowded paths. She is part of the deer conservation society of Nara, so she knew everything about these wonderful creatures. We learned so many interesting facts about culture, art, and religion at the temples and shops we visited. She even prepared an origami folding experience and provided our girl with a deer antler head band! We highly recommend this experience!

We had such a lovely day with Ikuyo in Nara. She took us to beautiful, quiet spots away from the crowds, taught us how to feed the deer properly, and shared so much about Japanese culture and everyday life. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, heard lovely stories about her family, and even learned how to make beautiful origami together. Ikuyo is kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. The whole experience felt personal and memorable. Highly recommended!

Ikuyo (Ran) was such a lovely guide for the day in Nara. I have never seen a tour guide who was more enthusiastic about her city and showing visitors all of her favorite places. She showed us everything on the itinerary and more, she adjusted the tour sequence on the fly to accommodate our schedule, she recommended restaurants, she protected us from the male deer (who were potentially aggressive, though we never saw it), and was so passionate about making sure that we had a great time. Her origami tutorial was such a great interlude in the middle of the tour. She showed us her favorite shrine to family love, which was a wonderful spot that most people don’t see. Nara was such a beautiful place to explore and we appreciated it all so much more because of her knowledge and passion. Thank you Ikuyo, we cannot recommend her more highly!

Ikuyo was a great host, we loved it!! There is no better way to go around Nara then to follow COOL NARA GUIDE IKUYO , she knows exactly how to get around with the Deers in Nara and the some places that are beyond the eyesight of a regular tourist ! She gave us insights in to many minute details that one could easily miss during the walk, she was kind enough to pick us up from our hotel directly, accommodated a request for a vegan Ramen lunch, taught us Origami and even dropped us back to the hotel!! Outstanding don’t think and just book her for your group or even individual trio . She converses very well and is a great connector. Thank you Ikuyo we will always be grateful.
