Shimokitazawa is really unique and much less crazy and much better selection than Harajuku.

K, the guide, was punctual, knowledgeable, conversational, and very fashionable. We saw some unique shops (highly recommend New York Joe the converted public bath house) and he did his best to help us find (and was mostly successful) vintage Japanese denim.

K-san is incredible! He’s exceptionally skilled at what he does, with a deep understanding of brands, techniques, and textiles, and he shares great tips throughout the experience. We visited some amazing shops with unique, high-quality items at great prices, which made the whole experience even better. This session was particularly special for me and so much fun! The atmosphere was fantastic! K-san is friendly, funny, and full of good energy, and his assistant Haruto was also very kind and talented. We even connected as a group, which made everything even more enjoyable. I only wish it had lasted longer (I’m a slow shopper!), but now it’s up to me to follow his advice and continue on my own, which I’m doing right now. You’re amazing at what you do.
