Great experience, we were lucky enough to get Gregory himself. Highly recommend

Hector was a great guide — although it’s not exactly clear when booking this tour that your guide could get switched out (one of the reasons I sometimes don’t book with bigger companies). It was a fun introduction to the city — although perhaps slightly hampered by how crowded the city was due to the Real Madrid game that day. Not their fault, but felt a little less interactive than tours I saw where the visitors got to learn to pour their own cider and take photos, etc. Again, not sure if it was just due to how hectic things were. Hector was very knowledgeable, and there was a good mix of history and gastronomy and food and drink. It probably is the most I’ve paid for a tour for the quantity of food — but we’re comparing to food tours in other cities, not here. Pinxtos by nature are smaller, but it’s definitely a high price for the “tour” aspect vs. the food.

Gregory gave us such a great experience! We had a fun, informative tour of San Sebastián and amazing food and wine. He had other amazing recommendations for us as well, for our remaining time in San Sebastián.

Gregory's Pintxos tour was the highlight of our 2-week trip through Paris and San Sebastian.
We met him in a light drizzle, and he brought the energy! He was worried we might let a little drizzly rain get us down, but heck no. It only lasted a few minutes, and then we lowered our umbrellas and got down to business. Gregory gives a great tour, very well curated, and the food and drink were abundant, to say the least.
We learned so much about Basque culture, language, and lots of great history about the area. We absolutely LOVED the variety of places he took us to, and we could not get over all the fabulous wine, Txakoli, Cider, Tempranillo we enjoyed alongside our chistorra, beef cheeks, merluza, the gilda, pork belly, and the list goes on and on. What we really loved was his deep knowledge of the area and taking us to some unexpected spots where we could really experience local life. Everywhere we went, we bumped into his friend,s and we even met the mayor.
