Nous avons passé un excellent moment ! La sommelière maîtrisait très bien son sujet et les vins turcs sont surprenants et très intéressants. J’ai adoré découvrir ces cépages et leurs particularités, c’était une expérience riche et agréable 🥰

Fun experience to try traditional food that we probably wouldn’t have tried or chosen elsewhere or on our own! I loved that our guide, Burcu, grew up in the area (as did her mom and grandma), so we knew we were getting a true “in” to the culture and food. I liked hearing the context behind why certain foods were made the way they are, traditions for meals and cooking, and learning about the general culture of this neighborhood in Istanbul. Burcu also had some lovely recommendations for after the tour (delicious crumpets and an awesome wine bar specializing in Turkish wine), she did not steer us wrong!! :)

We had a fun time meeting the local dogs and cats while learning about the beautiful neighborhood.

Burcu is a gem. She loves her neighborhood (right down to the local dogs and cats.) and it shows with every interaction in every shop and on every street corner. Will recommend Burcu’s tours of Asian side Istanbul neighborhoods to any of our friends who can visit Istanbul..
