Fort Foster is a beautiful place right on the ocean, with lots of things to do. There are sandy and rocky beaches, a pier, light houses, place to launch kayaks, scuba diving, a play ground and lots of open spaces, with grassy knolls, all overlooking the ocean. Great place to spend the day. There is an entrance fee of $20 to get in.

Private beach and historic site, so you’ll have to pay to get in... but it’s a very well maintained and peaceful spot. Fort Foster won’t be overrun or crowded like public beaches.

Large park with several beaches (sandy and rocky), wonderful walking trails, and military fort ruins. Bold coast and spectacular views of the mouth of the Piscataqua harbor. Several hibachis for grilling. Free if you get there before 10 AM, park outside the gate, and walk in. Otherwise $5 to walk bike in (each person) or $20 for a vehicle including occupants.
