Seafood at the pier! A novel way to experience Cairns seafood, the restaurant is located on the back of tree prawn trawlers down at the pier. With a selection of bars close by for a drink after dinner or walk over to the Esplanade for some dessert. They only serve seafood (and drinks), so they will allow you to bring non seafood to the restaurant. Last time we brought some chips and pizza to eat with out seafood platter.

Trawler restaurant Prawn Star is tropical dining perfection: clamber aboard and fill yourself with prawns, mud crabs, oysters and whatever else was caught that day, while taking in equally delicious harbour views. A second boat – Prawn Star Too – was added to the eat-fleet in mid-2017, but seating is still limited and much in demand: get there early.

Best sea food in Cairns! Freshly served sea food on a boat, $5 beer and wine. The whole experience on Prawn Star is one that should not be missed! Open everyday from 10am - 8pm.
