Great walking trails and lots of wildlife. A piece of tranquility in the middle of a neighborhood. Very cool spot.
Ride your bike up the Pinellas Trail and then enjoy biking around in the hammock- sand and boardwalk trails take you through the jungly landscape that show what Dunedin was like when it was settled by Scottish families in the 1880s. There's a beautiful historic chapel up there too. Keep an eye out for gopher tortoises, and the very occasional alligator!
A few minutes walk away down the Pinellas Trail. Lovely nature park.
You have to check out the park for which Hammock House was named. One of the parks entrances is conveniently located right outside your door!
