This park is a 10 minutes walk away and has several beautiful lakes, a tea hut , many walks and cycle tracks and a stunning bluebell wood during April.

This is a beautiful very natural park. It’s not too groomed like most London parks. The walk through to Wanstead high st and tube takes 20 minutes. Turn left out of the flat, takes first left after church into park road and the entrance to the park is at the end of the road. Continue along the path bearing left up to Wanstead, taking any left hand turn up the hill until you reach a lovely church beside the golf course car park when you turn right into the Avenue which leads to the high st.

Lovely spot. Ruins of old manor house and gardens. Lovely for a hike / run / stroll.

Stunning park that makes you feel like you are in the countryside! You can see herons and ducks on the river and it is a great place for walking your dog. Go to Wanstead underground station, which is just 2 stops away on the central line .
