More evidence of the ancients, not far from Honanki & in the same more secluded, sacred area. There are often tour guides at this site too. These sites are great if you are into historical, ancient places & there are usually not so many people here.

Site of ancient petroglyphs, Palatki Heritage Site is definitely off the beaten path but a good reason to make the trip. Travel a little further down the road to Honanki Heritage Site to check out more dwellings and petroglyphs.

Well worth the drive on the dirt roads. The views and scenery are well worth it. Don't miss Honanki while you're out that way!

The Hononki and Palatki heritage sites show a glimpse of the culture of the indigenous people who lived in the area long ago.

For a glimpse of what life was like in the red rocks between A.D. 1150 and 1350, take a drive to the Palatki Heritage Site. These ancient cliff dwellings were once the home of the Hopi tribe and are now among the largest cave dwellings in the area.
