Take the old railway train to historic ida bay beach and spend a few hours in a place totally inaccesable by vehicle. A local walking tour will show you the old gravesights and history of the area.

Ride the open train through the forest to the beach, this is a real interesting piece of history, l would highly recommend making the trip south.

The Hastings Caves and thermal pool are worth a visit, and its always nice to drive down to Cockle Creek to the bronze Whale sculpture and check out the rich French and Aboriginal history along the way.
