Situated in the town's 18th century watermill on the River Nith, the Robert Burns Centre tells the story of Robert Burns' last years spent in the bustling streets & lively atmosphere of Dumfries in the late 18th century. The exhibition has many original manuscripts & belongings of the poet. There is a scale model of Dumfries in the 1790s & a haunting audio-visual presentation. Museum trails, fun activities & visitor information will help you explore Dumfries & Galloway's Burns connections. Upstairs there is a lively exhibition programme of work by local artists in Hullabaloo Café. It has Scotland's smallest film theatre, showing the best contemporary & world cinema.
