Of course you can look up everything the LA metro area has to offer and there is so much! If you are looking for something off the beaten path, try one of LA Conservancy's walking tours. They are great for history and architectural buffs! Reservations required.

Saturday morning tours of downtown LA's architecture. Takes about 3 hours and downtown's history comes alive and it is vibrant.

Contact them to get tours of historical Los Angeles including special events like theatre in the old broadway theaters dating back to the 1920's.

Check out their webiste for self guided walking tours of historic places. Their guided tours of Downtown LA are a really great way to see some of the history of LA, and places that are not usually open to the public. Tours are around $10, and lef by knowledgeable docents.
