Another medieval jewel of Malvern, the Abbey Gateway, is home to Malvern's Museum. It is small but filled with exhibits on every aspect of Malvern's history and development; geology, intriguing insights into the 19th Century, era of the water cure and items from Malvern's famous defence research establishment, where historic wartime radar was developed.

Sited in an ancient gateway to the priory the museum is a fascinating insight into the very varied history of this town.

A small local museum showing the history of Malvern from the Benedictine times through to the current day. Lots of information on the water cure, Morgan cars and some of the work on radar and similar that went on during world war 2.

Malvern Museum of Local History is often likened to the Tardis ~ a lot of fascinating information is packed into a small space. Yet there is so much to do, see and hear that many visitors regret not making more time for their visit. Open March-October only
