A must must see! ! It is in this environment that a set of railway and hydroelectric infrastructures have been located since the 19th and 20th centuries, providing the backbone for the connections and the road network that we have inherited in the 21st century. Declared by the Junta de Andalucía as a Natural Area in 1989, it had already been classified as a Special Protection Area for Birds (ZEPA) in 1987 and, since 2006, has been part of the Andalusia-Morocco Mediterranean Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve. and from the list of Sites of Community Importance of the Mediterranean Biogeographical Region. This natural enclave has been a focus of influence for the settlement and development of human groups in the surroundings of the natural area of Gaitanejo and El Chorro from prehistoric times to the present day, documented by the abundance of archaeological sites.

Enjoy this wonderfull tour in the Malaga natura, walking into an iconic old rute where the king ALfonso XIII used to walk and ride with horses... Buy ticket in advance by internet, you can get a guide person, but no need. important to get a ticket with bus to take you there and bring you back.or to go by car is around 40 min from Malaga downtown, really recommended.

Must book in advance. Only go If you like walking, hills and not scared of heights. This is in a village called Ardales, in the countryside.

The scenery & views don’t get any better than here! Stunning scenery & very ideal for walking & mountaineering. Steep mountains , caverns & beautiful green coloured clear waters with huge picturesque lake. If you want to attempt the high walk booking on line is you’re best option ! Drive time from Casa De Ana 45 minutes
