This is our go to beach to enjoy the surf and sand. Much more family friendly than Venice, and less crowded than the Santa Monica Pier. Good playgrounds, good crowds and lots of open sand.

Tower 26! The less touristy beach with beginner surf and especially easy parking short-term lot 1 and 2 hour. Easy access to beach with clean bathrooms. From there you can stroll up to SM Pier or down to Venice board walk. Just south of lot is a play park for kids. Across are the famous tennis courts were the Williams sisters trained and nice grassy knoll to fall asleep on.
