The river is popular hangout in the summer for swimming and tubing and in fall for world class fly fishing.
Great swimming, tubing and world class fishing. Trails for hiking and lovely spots to picnic.
Start at Mayo Rd to walk across the trestle and then along the trail. One side is quite high above the river. The other has access oaths to get to the water. The hike is moderately difficult with rocks and roots on the path, and up-and -downs. Since it’s quite long, you can hike as little or as far as you like.
