Okay, so it’s kinda far... but you can get there on the Metro and if you’ve got the time you should go check out Santa Monica (the beach and the pier).
Must stop for first time visitors, eat a funnel cake and ride the Ferris Wheel

Wooden wharf with eateries, shops, high-tech arcade, roller coaster, giant Ferris wheel, other rides & famous 1922 indoor merry-go-round. Fantastic view of the bay and the mountains.

We as a family love to visit Santa Monica Pier once in a while. We enjoy all the activities of the beach and a theme park all in one. There is amazing views and something to do for the entire family. We feel this is a must see for all visitors.

Often on Wednesday nights in the summer, there are free concerts on the Pier (Twilight at the Pier).
