Hike along the Merced river! Wildflowers bloom in April. Thr last 5 miles of the road to the trailhead is a somewhat bumby dirt road and begins after crossing the one lane bridge at Briceburg.

Merced River Trail is a 5.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Coulterville, California that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, camping, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Beautiful wildflowers and nature sites, take your camera! Merced River (head east from Mariposa about 12 miles, turn left at Briceburg Visitor Center and follow 6 miles of gravel road along the river until it dead ends.
