This group of canyons has trails for hiking & horseback riding, plus picnic areas & a gift shop.
Indian Canyons park (fee for entry) is a must-see desert oasis just to the south of the Ocotillo Lodge. Hiking in the very early morning hours, or during the winter months is magical. Picnickling near the stream in the palms a must-do!
Hike a riverbed to a palm oasis at , where the most popular trail runs through Andreas and Palm Canyon. At the end of the trail in Palm Canyon, lush greenery feeds off a desert stream. The boulders can make the trail challenging in places, but the reward is a cool, trickling brook and the shade of large palms. Remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and sturdy hiking shoes.
