A gorgeous little village full of pubs, shops and cafes. You can walk there via the Cinder Trail/ Cliff top path (slightly longer) or get a bus/taxi one or both ways!

Robin Hood's Bay is a small fishing village and bay located in the North Yorkshire Moors national park. This pretty village is full of quaint cottages and unusual architecture. Robin Hood's Bay is the end point for Wainwright's coast to coast route. After all that walking , why not treat yourself to a coffee and cake in one of the charming cafes in the village.

Journey into the past and take a walk through the tiny streets and see all the little fishermen’s cottages . There is a beach that joins Robin Hoods bay, Boggle hole and Ravenscar when the tide is out, with plenty of rock pools to keep you busy. During certain months of the year there are ghost tours which take you through the tiny streets.

A classic village, full of scenic little ginnels and a lovely beach at the bottom of the steep hill which is pedestrian access only unless you're a resident. Again I would recommend that you take the X93 and get off at Robin Hoods Bay as the bus stop is pretty close to the car park at the top of the incline, which fills up quickly during the busy season. The advantage of the bus is that you get to see a lot of scenery en route and no stress about parking. You can also all have a drink in the village itself without worrying too much about the designated driver. Sightseeing and the beach are both the attractions to this idyliic smugglers haunt and it has been voted one of Britain's most favourite places so it can get crowded especially on a sunny day.

An old smuggling / fishing village on the North York coast near Whitby. You drive across the moors to get there. Stunning.
