My all time favorite hike with multiple waterfalls and caves. It is a tough hike but definitely worth it!

110' This natural area, located in White County, is the home of 110’ Virgin Falls. An underground stream emerges from a cave and then plummets 110’ over the side of a cliff before disappearing again into another cave at the bottom of the sink. Doesn’t that sound like something you need to see for yourself? Before you visit, please read up on the rules and the hike. One of the main rules is that the caves are closed. This is to protect the resident bats from white nose syndrome. The hike into the falls is around nine miles roundtrip and is a strenuous route. Make sure to start this trek early enough to give yourself time to get out and back before dark. (Photo Credit: @truss84)

This hike is approximately 5 hours+ round trip and not for the faint of heart but worth every bit of the effort.

You will be hiking around 8-miles strenuous and sometimes technical round trip if you go all the way to Virgin Falls. River, Martha's Pretty Point outlook and other falls in this park.

The main trail to the Falls is a large undertaking, NOT for the casual hiker. Located not far from us. Takes a good 6 to 8 hrs to do the 8+ mile hike. If you want a much easier hike with an incredible view, take the Upperland trail (same starting point as the Falls, to Martha's Pretty Point & back. Takes a bout 2 hrs to do this 4 miler. There is primitive camping in areas in this natural area, including at Martha's Pretty point.
