Nice cafe with great food in a historic building. Sit upstairs or outside of the weather permits. Watch barges make the most difficult turn on the Mississippi. You can also let yourself into the fishing museum (door next to the bar).

If you plan to take a scenic drive north from Wyalusing, follow the Great River Road (WI-35) north past Ferryville then cross over the Mississippi River to this perfect brunch spot with great eats and a wine/beer menu. It closes after the lunch rush though (2pm most days, 1pm Sunday), so plan accordingly.

Great coffee and pastries (and more!) at a table looking out over the river, or inside a near welcoming fireplace. A bit upscale for some but I find it very friendly and casual. 60 South Front Street
