The Captain Cook Inn is a favorite with village locals. The pub serves a great range of ales being a freehouse with many local beers on offer. There is also an excellent menu and a dining room which is ideal for families and groups. There is a large outdoor seating area with views to the north of the village over open farmland and cliffs

Here's the place to try our traditional dish from these parts called a Parmo. It's a double chicken breast covered in cheese sauce and then topped with whatever you choose. It's massive, so don't eat anything big at lunchtime if you're planning to eat here in the evening. Again, we recommend booking in advance.

At the top of the hill, near the carpark, this is the sister pub to The Cod and Lobster and a great option if The Cod is fully booked. There is an outdoor area with views of the sea and surrounding countryside. Portions are large, with gluten free and vegetarian options. This is a great place to try the famous North Yorkshire Parmo dish
