A great National Park with bathrooms near the beach! Usually a little less crowded, but there is a fee to enter. 25-35 minute ride depending on if it’s nesting season.
The Opal Beach Complex is located along Highway 399 between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach, provides access to one of the park's greatest treasures, Opal Beach. This is an excellent place to fish, swim, and picnic. Parking, restrooms, pavilions, and beach showers are available both Gulf-side and sound-side. Note that there is an entry fee to enter Opal Beach as it is a State Park. All military & veterans, with proper identification, get in free.

Powdery white sands and typically less crowded makes for better shelling, anywhere with pull outs on the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
A great beach spot away from most of the busy beaches. Accepts national Parks passes too! Worth the short drive past Navarre beach and worth the per car fee. Parking lot is so close to the water so you don’t have to go too far with your beach gear. Restrooms open in summer. Covered picnic tables. Rinse off station.
Opal Beach is more a secluded beach to visit. Please note that there is 1 small parking lot out there that can stay full and there are no bathrooms out there. The drive alone to Opal Beach is worth the visit. Directions: Go over the Navarre bridge all the way down to the stop sign then turn right on Gulf Blvd heading west toward Pensacola Beach. Enjoy the drive on Gulf Island National Seashore.
