This is the only real mall in the Des Moines area. The rest are slowly closing down. They have a food court, movie theater, play place and chain restaurants like Panera and The Cheesecake Factory. The biggest mall in West Des Moines if you're interested in shopping. It's also home to Century Theatre Cinema and is surrounded by a variety of good restaurants.

Iowa is not a fashion mecca as demonstrated by our biggest, bestest mall. Preschool play area outside of Scheels and small pond with pleasant walk lined with $$ eateries. Movie theater has decent chairs. Kill time and waste money with abandon! (or go to REI which is not too far from the mall)

If shopping is what you're looking for, take the longer drive out to Jordan Creek Mall. They have a large selection of stores to choose from as well as excellent dining options on or right off the premises. Open from 10 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday. 11 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.
