Delos Archaeological Museum Delos Museum was built in 1904 by the Archaeological Society at Athens and originally consisted of the five western rooms. It was enlarged in 1931 and 1972 and in the same period, the exterior of the building underwent great, but unfortunate, alterations. The present exhibition is arranged in nine rooms.

If you can spare half a day, don't miss the Delos island trip. Boats depart from the old port of Mykonos. Seeing some of the most important living quarters from the 3d-2nd centuries BC. Luxury mansions with amazingly ornate mosaic floor beds, the drinking water reservoirs, sewage systems and the daily life of this wealthy ancient Greek religious sanctuary devoted to the twin gods Apollo and Artemis became a renowned trading center for the Mediterranean world ending up as cosmopolitan and rich as only myths could describe!
