Welcome to Bench 170. You will enjoy the very private entire upper floor and use of the yard as guest space. This house is a West Coast Modern built in 2012. A delight for architect enthusiasts and art lovers alike as it was a venue for the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl for several years. There is a public beach access directly adjacent to the property that takes you down to a cobble stone beach looking west to the Georgia Strait. Please refer to Policy and Rules for pets.

In the middle of the forest, a cozy unique cabin is where you will hear the most beautiful sounds of nature. Come read, rest, and relax in a stunning setting while enjoying the fresh air. Nestled in the woods, situated on the seven-acre property is a fully self-contained cabin with big picture windows. Only ten minutes from the ferry and close to amenities. Hiking trails are at the edge of the property where there are breath-taking views. Dogs are very welcome.

We offer 1165 sqft of air-conditioned space – two queen bedrooms with crisp linens, one beautiful bathroom with tub and walk-in shower, and plenty of space to relax. Modern washer, dryer, fridge, cooker and dishwasher. You’ll have a private covered deck with outdoor seating and dining areas, as well as use of a 6-person hot tub. We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
