“Restaurant and Full Service Bar. Weekday lunch specials. Burgers, sandwiches, World Famous Blackened Catfish Nachos.” This is a bar that serves great food. I’ve been going here for 15 years and the food doesn’t disappoint. Especially the Sunday brunch. The service can be slow if it is very busy, but that just gives Dee and I more time to chat and relax with a drink. The walls are brick (was a horse stable) so if it’s crowded, it can get really loud. So be aware if going for dinner, you may have a harder time chatting.

Eclectic restaurant serving BBQ, salads, and ribs. Delicious cocktails also. A really fun place to hang out at the upstairs bar or sit downstairs and watch the cooks prepare your food. The food was good and the cocktails were excellent.

“Upscale-casual spot offers creative Southern food in classic, modern surrounds with hopping rooftop.” This place never disappoints! Reservations may be warranted on busy nights. Especially if events are happening at the Arena. The rooftop dining area has the best views in all of Tupelo! The bar is a really cozy comfortable place to stop in for a drink.

“Casual joint serves BBQ in lodge-like digs with wooden booths, brick walls & mounted deer heads.” They have daily lunch specials during the week. Open 10:30-6:00 p.m. Really great BBQ. Another place that I’ve frequented over the last 15 years.

“We are an antique marketplace with 16,000 sq ft and over 120 booths filled with antiques, re-purpose, furniture, hand made, primitive, collectibles, and so much more.” I added this place because of the coffee shop, Lost + Found Coffee Co. and it is just down the street from the house! Really friendly people. Mention you are staying in Mill Village and get 10% off your antique purchase. I don’t think that applies to coffee. Coffee shop is going to reopen July 1, from my sources.

“A  family operated cafe and catering business offering homemade southern favorites. Founded in 2011 by Beverly Blaylock, all dishes at Sweet Tea & Biscuits are homemade with love from Beverly and her sister Joan. The sisters make these dishes from recipes passed down by their mother, serving a variety of homemade soups, sandwiches, snacks, and desserts – all made from scratch. What can be better than a family owned and run café with fantastic southern food? A freezer full of marvelous casseroles and desserts to take home!” This is an office favorite and requested ALL the time for our offices lunches. There are two locations, and both are excellent. One is on McCullough Blvd, inside Joyful Creations market. They catered my son’s high school graduation event. Highly recommended!

“This place is a right of passage, with a personality all its own, brimming with character. Pretty much everything you get is deep fat fried, large portions, fair prices. The burgers have a great taste, no frills, just good old fashioned 1970 style burger joint, made alittle famous by the fact that elvis is said to of ate there often. Good old no frills food.” I crave a no frills deep fried burger occasionally and this is the place to go! Lunch time during the week can be really busy.

“This is a place to go if you’re wanting some burgers, frito pie, or some delicious ice cream!” Milkshake heaven! If I want soft-serve ice cream or milkshakes, I go to this drive-in. Only a picnic table out front, and I think mainly used to wait on your food. People seem to really like the Frito pie. CASH ONLY!

“All of our meat is smoked on a REAL smoker that was hand-built by my dad. We’re cooking with charcoal, hickory and pecan, fresh every day, with our signature sauces and rubs! Come hungry, leave hapy!” Have you not heard of this place! It is blowing up all over the South! Featured in several magazines. My friend Clay opened this eatery in his bait shop- you read correctly – this is located inside a bait shop. If you like bar-b-q, there is a good chance you will love this! Don’t let the bait shop side scare you off!

“This is one of my favorite places for lunch. the patty melt and the club sandwich is great. The meal comes with potato chips but I always order a side of their famous potato salad. The potato is amazing, it is blended well but thick. Finney’s also makes very good milk shakes. Get there early because there will be a line to eat in and for to-go orders” Their potato salad is really good! They are known for it. this place has been around forever so they are definitely doing something right! They are only open for lunch.

“King Chicken is a classic southern gas station serving Mississippi’s best fried chicken, non-ethanol & ethanol gas, seating inside with a porch outside & less than a quarter mile off the interstate. EAT LIKE A KING.” This is a neat little place- inside a gas station that has to be as old as the hills. I have not eaten here since it switched hands this year, but the menu seems largely the same and I really liked it before! I plan on going here soon for supper or Saturday brunch.

“American & Southern eats, plus drink specials, in a big, woodsy locale with nightly live music.” This restaurant is probably the closest one to the Airport. They call themselves “Tupelo’s Back Porch” as it has a huge covered patio in the back where live music is played. For lunch they serve a meat and vegetable plate, where you line up and tell the worker what you want and they serve it up right there on the plate- so it’s a fast lunch place! You can also order off the menu. My husband loves this place for dinner too!

“Neon Pig is an old-school butcher shop, a fresh never frozen seafood shop, a food bar, and we have one of the best craft beer selections in Mississippi. This is not a chain restaurant! We break down whole local animals in house. We strive to bring old-fashioned goodness back into the food industry by specializing in house-cured meats. We are homemade & handmade, and we love our local farms!” My husband and I have enjoyed eating at Neon Pig from the start. Love the food and people. “Live music is paired with a huge beer selection & eclectic pub grub in funky, shed-like digs.” Y’all try this place! If a bar is not your scene, you may not want to, but the food is OUTSTANDING! And if you can stay up late enough, the music can be crazy good and fun! It is Tupelo’s home for original live music, hosting national acts on a nightly basis. Some acts have come through and are now well-known in certain circles! They have a huge beer selection, with 35 craft beers on tap daily.
