Fish, hike, bike, swim. The outdoor recreational opportunities are endless. Bring your snowmobile or ATV. Property will satisfy anything from a romantic getaway, family get together, or simply taking a few days off to recharge. --

Duncan Creek House

Contact me if you’d like a longer term stay and I’ll open up more dates in January, February,March & April. This is a cozy house located on Duncan Creek where you’ll hear the lovely sound of rushing water and will likely spot some eagles. It is located within walking distance of Leinie’s Lodge, Irvine Park, Olson’s Ice Cream Parlor and local hiking/bike trails. Dogs are welcome. The cancellation policy is set as “Strict”, but I’ll give full refunds if you cancel at least 14 days in advance.

The Sweet Suite

The Sweet Suite is an upper duplex unit. We are located in the middle of the Driftless Area known for its scenic beauty and charm. A comfortable country atmosphere ideal for relaxation. We welcome traveling nurses! Feel free to inquire about a longer stay. The distance is: 8 miles to Richland Hospital in Richland Center 19 miles to Muscoda Health Center in Muscoda 24 miles to Gundersen St Joseph's Hospital in Hillsboro The location is also ideal for hunters and other sports enthusiasts.

River Cottage!

Located in a quiet neighborhood on Lake Petenwell, Wisconsin’s second-largest lake. This cozy well loved 80s-style bi-level home sits on a peaceful canal off the Wisconsin River, offering great fishing just steps from the back door. The upper level features two bedrooms, a full bath, kitchen, living room, and dining area. The lower level includes a family room, additional bed, and hideaway beds on both floors. Ample parking for cars, trailers, and gear makes it perfect for outdoor getaways.

Whether in town for business or pleasure, you will be a mile or less from shopping areas, downtown and the medical complex. In a safe and quiet neighborhood, across from Columbia Park, you are sure to start your day off right with a cup of hot coffee/tea. Prepare meals in the large kitchen and eat at the dining room table to share the day's events. Then get tucked into soft cotton sheets to drift off to sleep.

My place is close to the city center, art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining, and parks. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the location, the coziness, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). The home is only 2 blocks from bars and restaurants and less than 5 blocks from Historic Downtown Wausau. The Peterson Mill Schoolhouse is a rural and historic one classroom school converted into a guest house. Located next to a trout stream and operating dairy farm, you can sit on the open-air porch, relax by the creek, or take a walk on the country roads. The Schoolhouse is open year-around, welcoming all who enjoy fishing, biking, hunting, and other outdoor activities. Enjoy your time in the peaceful surroundings or drive 15 minutes to the beautiful Waupaca Chain-O-Lakes.
