The Location - Great location in a quiet neighbourhood that is within walking distance from Newcastle CBD (3.5km), Honeysuckle restaurants (3km), Newcastle Beach (4.5km) and the Public Transport Interchange (2km). Within Carrington, this home is conveniently situated just 300m to shops, cafes, restaurants and with a great pub, 'The Criterion,' situated next door. The area is very child friendly with a park one street back, including a children's playground, picnic tables and an electric BBQ.

All the windows are leadlight and the soaring window at the front (from a 100 year old church in the Hunter Valley) adds to the distinctive charm. You will have your own access. You can park in the driveway or on the street (unrestricted on weekends and after hours. Otherwise its a 2hr limit from 9am-5pm

Absolute waterfront 3 bedroom cute family cottage!

Sleep literally 5 meters from the clear deepwater frontage great for fishing and swimming. Snorkel for a look at fish and old sandstone ballast from coal ships while eating oysters from rocks at low tide. Watch the sharp shells. (Water shoes, personal life vest, and flippers advised.) Walk the nature reserve and spot the swooping Owls. No fences so please bring extra-long dog leads. Use the kayaks and standup paddleboards while wondering if there is life on Mars! (Jetty is not our property.)

Lingard Hospital is within walking distance, as is a laundromat, post office, bottle shop and numerous cafes and bars. The unit sleeps 2 adults, and has the availability of a portacot. There is a small outdoor area and a parking space, so you can leave your car and walk to all that Merewether and Newcastle has to offer.

We aim to make you feel at home the moment you arrive. Wake up and enjoy a coffee, breakfast in the courtyard and freshen with arguably the best shower! Walking distance to cafes, pubs, restaurants, the bowlo, as well as shops, post office, public transport, parks and harbour. The home shares a wall with our house and floorboard noise can sometimes be heard from both houses. Please also note we are near working silos with original floorboards, so the house can quickly accumulate dust.
