We are located in a quiet neighbourhood, there is zero tolerance for loud noise and partying. We do NOT consider reservations with LESS THAN 2 POSITIVE REVIEWS and visitors are not permitted. No third party reservations. No pets. Minimum 2 night stay

Carriage House on the Rock is a two minute walk to Westwood Lake Park that offers world-class mountain bike trails and hiking. A cozy one bedroom carriage house that is fully appointed. A 6km walk around the lake, or if you are feeling adventurous, a 3 hour hike up Mount Benson and its amazing views are nearby. Only three km to downtown, & float planes to Vancouver. Walking distance to VIU, Aquatic Center, and Nanaimo Ice Center. We are centrally located but offer a quiet remote getaway.

Whether here for a tournament, family visit or remote work, enjoy 250 Mbps Wi-Fi, a sit/stand desk and cooling AC. Our well-equipped kitchen is built for real cooking, with a cozy living area and patio to unwind. We personally prepare every detail to ensure a sparkling clean stay, with shared laundry and covered parking included. Well-behaved medium dogs are always welcome!

Imagine waking up to the sound of waves lapping on the rocks, the sunrise mirrored across the water. Take your coffee out onto the private oceanfront patio where you can lounge in the hammock. Kayaking around Departure Bay is easy as the kayaks are kept just above the high tide mark, grab life jackets and paddles from the yoga room and you’re good to go. Later you can relax in the hot tub. All this 10 minutes from the shops and cafes of Nanaimo.
