This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. 宮津の中心街から車で10分程度で里山、田園風景が自慢の「上宮津」という地域内で３年ほど空き家になっていた物件をリノベーションして１棟貸しの宿泊施設へと生まれ変わりました。 海までは10分、天橋立までは15分、伊根の舟屋までは45分。 特別綺麗な施設ではありませんが、地域ならではのゆっくりとした時間を過ごしていただます。 基本的にお料理は出していませんが、ご希望の方は近隣のおにぎりcafeの当施設限定朝食おにぎりセットを予約することができます（有料） 地域の方との交流やBBQ、収穫体験などのメニュー、地域内e-bikeツアーなどもご紹介可能です。事前にお問い合わせください。またBBQは一式のレンタルで¥2,200で準備します。（イス、コンロ、炭、火ばさみ、準備から片付けまで）食材は含まれません。ゲストの方でご準備してください。レンタル以外でのBBQはご遠慮いただいています。 ガレージでは、BBQの他、自転車やバイクのメンテナンスを雨に濡れずに行う事ができます。鍵付きの建物内に保管できますので安心して丹後一周する事が可能です。 駐車場は当施設すぐ後ろに駐車スペースがあります。

We collaborated with award winning architects at Ikken to renovate this space, which now accommodates the comforts of modern life, while retaining many of the original structure and elements from its past.

The house was originally a teahouse, a more refined type of building than a typical machiya and closely tied to geisha culture. Many original details remain, including a rare Hako-kaidan staircase crafted about 150 years ago.
