Wizard's LOTR Cottage and Treehouse! Pet Friendly!

Our LOTR-themed Wizard's Cottage, along with our LOTR Stargazer treehouse, are on 2+ acres, & have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." Our home is about 200 ft. from the Cottage & far from Stargazer (back of the acreage). Greenery provides privacy. Enjoy our hot tub & Mordor -(dare to open the "Mor Do[o]r")! We are solidly in farm country; 2 miles from lovely Cedar Lake; Soo Line Trail has hiking, biking & snowmobiling; park & bar in walking distance. Diversity is welcome.

Come stay at this peaceful cabin on Fairy Lake by Sauk Centre, MN. Great outdoor space to enjoy swimming, fishing and boating. Bring your boat or kayak and enjoy the outdoors. Fairy Lake also has a large public beach across the lake. Sauk Centre has three golf courses & a 6-screen movie theatre downtown. Sauk Centre has great bar & grills, fun downtown shops and the 510 Art Lab. Great Parks & in July we celebrate Sinclair Lewis days. SC has murals painted all around town by local artist.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Scenic and peaceful with a charming rustic cabin. Take a stroll through our enchanted forest on your way to the lake. The bridge will take you there! Once on the lake relax on our floating deck! Our sunsets are lovely, and nature surrounds you. We are located on Long Lake which has no public access so it’s very quiet. Bring your kayaks for some amazing bird and turtle watching. Feel like swimming? Fairly Lake beach is 4 minutes from the cabin! End your relaxing day around the firepit!

It is steps away from a privately owned beach for you to sit back, enjoy the sunrise/sunset with a firepit. 5 minute walk away from the well-known Barsness park. Also, 5 minute walk away from Lake Minnewaska public boat landing and public beach. Or enjoy a nice walk to go downtown Glenwood to enjoy all the city has to offer!! This basement apartment is large, comfortable and furnished with everything you'll need. It's close to Taunton Stadium and a mile from downtown. It's a little chilly, but the price is right and we the hosts live upstairs so we're close by in case of need. And you can park off the street!
